Has your daughter or son asked for a new scooter this Christmas? If so then they’ve probably got their eye on the new Prodigy X Blunt stunt scooter. With its eye catching finish and excellent build quality the Prodigy X is the best choice stunt scooter for ages 9 up to 14 (depending on size of the child).
Blunt Prodigy has been SK8 or Die’s best selling scooter style consistently for the last 4 years. Each new style only has slight modifications because quite honestly, BLUNT ENVY have nailed it. With the Prodigy, BLUNT are offering the best quality stunt scooter under £200. The best part is the PRODIGY X starting price is even less than when the predecessor, the S9, was released. No quality or looks compromised either. The Prodigy X is every bit as good and more.
So what’s the difference between the Prodigy X and the Prodigy S9?
Well, before we get to that we have to point out the big difference between the Prodigy X STUNT and the Prodigy X STREET editions. The three styles of the Prodigy X street edition, black, grey and white, provide more height overall and a wider deck at 5.5″ rather than 5″ for the stunt edition. The street edition has T bars while the stunt sticks with the reaper style bars. Both styles designed for strength while also remaining as lightweight as possible.
The big difference with the Street edition this time around is the SCS 4 bolt compression clamp. The stunt edition remains IHC like the Prodigy s9 though with a 2 bolt Z clamp this time.
So a wider, concave deck for improved balance and stability on the Prodigy X compared to the Prodigy s9.
The Prodigy X Street Edition in Sk8 or Die is £185, again this beats other online retailers by £10.
What’s the best stunt scooter for my child?
As previously mentioned, the Blunt Prodigy has been the best selling stunt scooter and most recommended at Sk8 or Die for the last 4 years. However your child may require a different model because of height. If you have a young child of say 6 or 7 you may want to consider the BLUNT ONE S3 for £100. The next size up for kids of around 8 to 10 the BLUNT COLT would be the ideal choice. BLUNT COLT scooters are £120. For tall kids and adults and advanced riders the BLUNT KOS is the recommended scooter. SK8 or Die is offering the 3 styles of the BLUNT KOS scooters for only £170. The RRP on the BLUNT KOS is £265. So that’s a great saving.
