What is in the Undercarriage Kit?

In the undercarriage kit you will find everything you need to build a skateboard apart from the deck.
You get a pair of trucks, a set of 4 wheels, 8 bearings, bolts and grip tape. All that for £30 is a bargain. It means you can get a pro deck complete for less than £100.

The undercarriage kit consists of Bullet trucks either raw (metal colour) or black. We will make sure you get the correct size for the deck you choose. The wheels are either OJ or Ricta in sizes 52mm, 53mm and 54 mm.
The OJ wheels are slightly harder at 101a and the Ricta Sparx wheels are 99a.

Sk8 or Die has some great offers on complete skateboards. Recommended skateboards start at only £40 for selected Birdhouse Stage 1 completes. Most often a complete skateboard will cost from £60 to £100.

However, there is a huge selection of decks which you can add the undercarriage kit to for only £30. The RRP of the kit is £50.

Be aware, if you choose to build a skateboard from all the individual parts it can get expensive, especially if you’re just starting out. For example, a pair of Thunder Light trucks or Independent Hollow trucks are around £80, Spitfire and Bones wheels are about £60, add a pro deck and you’re already up to £200.

Which deck to choose?

You can choose any deck, even the ones on sale. However adding the undercarriage kit will cancel out one of the offers, whichever one is greater. That means the most you would have to pay extra is £20. Which is still pretty good, because we have some pretty cool decks on sale from £35.
The other thing to be aware of is the deck size. This deal is good for decks from 7.75″ wide to 8.5″. Anything wider and we’ll have to look at other truck options.
